Open Question: Good colleges not too far from San Antonio,TX?

me and my best friend are looking for colleges about 1-2hrs away from San Antonio, TX one that is small enough to know people personally and not too big to where you're just a number. overall good/fun environment.im majoring in biology and she's majoring in psychology. i know its not too detailed. but we just want to know whats out there. any ideas?
