A few things to think about when answering the question above: It seems like America is the materialistic capital of the world. People find artificial happiness when they are buying “stuff.” Can’t people be happy with their standard of living and begin working on the quality of life. Isn’t it impossible to find quality of life buying “stuff” to fill their lives. What percentage of people are aware that acquiring knowledge is more fullfilling than acquiring material – or is this my own faulty perception? Hasn’t society been brainwashed by media and pop culture into believing they need things to be cool or to be happy? Why is it not cool to be intelligent and knowledgeable about the world and subjects like psychology?
